About this deal

Fos Baranda, their signiture wine using the best grapes and with aging beyond that of their old Reserva. The eagerly awaited maturity of the grapes burst through, thriving with an unprecedented high-toned balance. Opulent fruit – so opulent it almost tastes as though there were a higher dosage, and yet with an energising bitter note on the end. Then August turned out to be absolutely perfect – the weather remained warm and dry all the way to harvest, except for an unexpected hailstorm that hit Hautvillers, Verzenay and Chouilly in early September.

A strong similarity to the blanc version here, and again, I’d probably wait for the P2 or P3 versions of this wine as extended lees aging should help manage the excesses of the vintage. When you taste the champagne you get an abundance of juicy, darker fruits – black cherry and spice – with loads of lees character adding-mid palate roundness. After fleeting aromas of rose, orange oil and saffron, the bouquet becomes warmer, dominated by red fruit followed by touches of cassis and fig and sweet notes of gingerbread and liquorice. After blending, bottling and second fermentation the Special Cuvée will rest for a minimum of three years on its lees to allow the aromatic complexity to fully develop. With dominant fruit flavours and aromas, it is a true embodiment of the 2009 harvest, and a vintage that's not to be missed. The combination of iodine and vegetable products, weever fish, sea urchins, turnip greens, sumac or artichoke, is perfect to feel the duality of the wine, to bring out the aromatic nuances of the wine.

Richly fruity nose – almost strawberry compote – suggests a much richer palate than it turns out to be.I know I can withdraw my consent at any time by using the unsubscribe mechanism present in each newsletter sent. Distinctively rich with a touch of smokiness, made from the most exceptional malt and grain whiskies of Scotland. It has maturity now, but certainly not old age, retaining great swathes of fresh red currant and grapefruit to go with the toast that is just showing. The wine displays all the aromatic nuances of Pinot Noir - raspberry, fig, strawberry and cherry - exacerbated by the delicacy, mineral elegance and light notes of chardonnay. Uniquely only available as a vintage champagne produced in exceptional years from just two grape varieties, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Dom Pérignon is an iconic wine with an unrivalled heritage.

After at least eight years of elaboration in the cellars, the wine embodies the perfect balance of Dom Pérignon, the Plénitude of harmony. The growing conditions in 2004 were superb with no weather extremes, a relatively cool August and plenty of sunshine prior to harvest, which contributed to a very healthy crop. Tempered by a slow, masterful transformation during nearly 12 years in the cellar, Dom Pérignon Rosé is a vibrant incarnation of both light and darkness. v=1596113518","width":800},{"alt":null,"id":20720919871539,"position":2,"preview_image":{"aspect_ratio":1.It bursts with rich ripe fruits, starting with fresh fig and wild strawberries, opening up to reveal tropical guava, taut violet and warm vanilla. Champagne / France Producer Notes It reflects a deep impulse to question everything, to embrace risk, experiment freely and to always go further. Light tannins and a crisp texture are balanced by the softness that comes from the relatively high dosage. The signature Dom Pérignon aromatic is that "hint smoky" character a result of the reductive winemaking where they go to extreme lengths to keep each step of the winemaking process free of oxygen. Critic tasting note: (2008 vintage) "Medium salmon pink, delicate pinkish glints, silver touch, persistent, creamy mousse.
