About this deal

Here are some books that celebrate kindness and help my family remember how and why we should be kind. If kids are going to ask us to read it again and again, it may as well be something we’ll get a kick out of, too! It’s got the phrase, “that’s what I would want someone to do for me” at the end of each page, and I love that because kids learn a lit from repetition!

And for something everyone will love, Our 12 Days of Christmas is a classic festive singalong starring the whole family. That may sound like a lot, but we’re lucky to have one powerful parenting tool that will knock out all three of those in one fell swoop: children’s books about kindness. It is easy to read whilst covering themes explaining about different feelings and emotions for young readers to appreciate and understand.A major part of Helen Exley's work has been to bring inspiration and positivity to as many people as possible. When Hen gives Pig an egg, she starts a domino effect of kindness that spreads throughout the barnyard.

It is also cleverly written bringing well-being and mental health into a picture book to educate readers from a young age about how important a smile is and to help them express and verbalise their own feelings whilst developing emotions. Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for this useful list, I am sure I will find a couple of great options. Patricia Hegarty is currently the Editorial Director of Caterpillar Books and has written about all kinds of things from trees and bees to ABCs (and she loves to rhyme). One of the founders of Wonderbly and the illustrator of much-loved books, including our original bestseller Lost My Name. It’s goal is to help young people understand that kindness is an important tool to cope with massive weather events.
