THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING
WAS HELD IN THE MEMORIAL HALL AT 7.30PM ON MONDAY 19th MARCH 2007
The meeting was attended by Cllrs Hall, Rycroft and Welsh
together with the clerk and 6 members of the public.
1. Apologies for absence
Cllrs Mullard and Wheatley had sent their apologies.
2. To approve the minutes of the last meeting
held on 5th February 2007
All Cllrs present approved these minutes as being a true
and accurate record of the meeting.
3. Matters arising from the previous minutes
The clerk reported that the light outside the Memorial Hall
was now working.
Proctors bus company had still not replied to various correspondence
regarding buses failing to pull into the bus stop off the main road.
4. The Chairman’s report of Parish Council activities
in the last year
Since the last Annual
Parish Meeting, the Parish Council has convened on 6 occasions. Apart from
the usual scrutiny of planning applications the main topics this year have

6. To receive quotes for the 2007 grass cutting
Only one quote had been received from Mac Plant Hire. This
was accepted and the cost per cut will be £90.00 plus VAT.
7. To discuss the upcoming Parish Council elections
in May 2007
An election for 5 Parish Councillors will take place on
Thursday 3rd May 2007. Nomination papers are available from the
clerk or Richmondshire District Council.
Cllr Hall announced her intention to resign as Chair at
the end of this meeting as she has recently moved out of the village. Cllrs
Rycroft and Welsh thanked her for all her hard work.
8. Authority requested to pay

10. Planning matters
A full planning application had been received for “Conversion
of Existing Stone Barn to Form Dwelling and Erection of Stable Block to Rear
of Barn at Westfields Farm, Moor Road”. Cllrs had no objection to this application.
11. Date of the next meeting
This will be the AGM at 7.30pm on Monday 14th
May 2007. This meeting was subsequently cancelled
as not enough candidates had stood in the election. Only 2 nominations had
been received and there must be a minimum of 3 Parish Cllrs to form a Parish
